We love taking beer to the next level and taste it all. We are often trying new barrels of beer which are newly tapped from the brewery. This makes us enter the world of great beer while also being able to deliver it fresh. Sometimes within 24 hours of tapped from the brewery.
Ask at the bar & they will show which beers to dive into!
Keep an eye for events with beer tasting, good company & great offers.
We are looking into a membership option where members get a selected beer pack at a favorable price. Both to test together & to bring home. Ask for Chrisstoffer or make sure the Biptender let him know if this is something for you.
Bring the Bip home with you. Either buy on location or buy from the web shop and collect at the Bar. TBA.
Our selection at the bar is categorised as DRINKS, SHOTS & BEERS and also placed as LEVEL 1, LEVEL 2 & LEVEL 3 according to strength & price in each category.

BIP BOT
No worries, we have all had our first go here. Here is how we can get you ready for action.
1
Buy a playcard at the bar.
And add credits to it.
2
Find the game you want to play.
The BIP BOX is by the coinslot.
3
Bip the Box
And press “Start”, “1-Player” or “2-Player” button.
FAQ
What does it cost to play?
We kept the 80s prices and recommend a Playcard with 25 credits to begin with for 60 kr. You are also welcome to share it with your group. Arcade & Pinball are ol’skool hardcore cool so a card per person is often the blockbuster choice.
What if I don’t use all credits?
The card is yours and as “practice makes perfect”, you are welcome to keep the card and use it again next time.
Superb! I bet you are soon ready for a highscore too. Don’t forget to submit it.

Standard classic control-setup
Same as shooting.
Auto-fire is rapid repeated shoots automatically often obtained by holding the button down.
Platform games are all about jumping. You probably know Super Mario and how he jumps from one element (platform) to another.
Some games let you jump an extra jump in the air.
Some games let you jump longer when running and jumping at the same time.
Jumping as a tool: Sometimes you can hit something by jumping into it to acquire bonus.
Jumping as a weapon: Enemies are often killed by jumping on top of them.
Extra: Sometimes, holding down the jump button will let you jump again as soon as you touch the ground.
This is mostly an upgrade or a special weapon. Some games want you to hold the shoot (fire) button for maximum effect.
Some games let you run, drive (and the like) faster. Try holding a button down to see if you go faster.
A speedrun is when a player completes the game as fast as possible. Not necessarily looking for points.
Older arcade games where so difficult that they were not expected to be played for very long. However, players have been up to the challenge and never surrendered.
Examples
Donkey Kong
When you have played for so long that the game is out of memory Jumpman (Mario) will die each time you move him up the screen. No matter if you hit the flame or barrel. All life left will be killed off one by one. You get to keep the points you have managed to acquire.
Pac-Man
Suddenly you will see a glitch where a lot of “random” text is filling up in one side of the screen. You can still play the game.
Killscreens are only known to be achieved by skilled players and takes practise to reach.
Some games allow you to max up your score/points by doing moves over and over. Other times a bonus (stage) might appear.
A player who point press tries to get as many points out of each game no matter what it takes to play it.
Most classic arcade games has a “Joystick”. One joystick per player. This is how you control your character on the screen. It is typically a stick with a ball on top. 2-Player games can be turn based so you take turns with only one playing at a time before switching. Other games has got two joysticks so you can play together.
Robotron is the beloved odd one and has even got two joysticks per player. One to control the character and another one to control the direction of your shooting.
Other arcades might have a gun, steering wheel, spinner, slider, trackball or something else.
Please note: Buttons & functions might be placed in a different order, depending on the game. Some games have more buttons than needed and the extra buttons are not defect, just not in play. On 2-Player games, the same setup is found for both players.
Highscores are often set by point pressing and not just by getting to the end.
The bonus can, however, be related to the time you have left in the game: A lot of time left = a lot of bonus points.
Konami Code, コナミコマンド or Konami Komando is a “cheat” code. Many of the Konami games will add something extra by doing this with the joystick ↑↑↓↓←→←→ and then press button: B and then A. When Konami Code is used the highscore is no longer valid.

1) Decide how many of you will play pinball
2) Use your Playcard onto the pinball Bip Box and add the same amount of credits as there will be Players.
The display on the backbox will show how many is added.
Add 1 Credit for 1-Player
Add 2 Credits for 2-Player
… so on and so forth
3) Press the START button as many times as there are players.
– and Player-1 may now plunge!
EXAMPLE:
Most pinballs will allow up to 4-Players. If 4 Players want to play, then add 4 Credits, Press 4 times on the START button. Player-1 may now plunge the ball.

Look to see if there is a “Skill Shot” to be made for extra bonus.
Now start by plunging the ball.
The plunger is often a stick with a bouncer, but may sometimes also be activated by pressing a button.
Players take turns.
But be aware, sometimes a player has achieved an extra ball or granted “shoot again”.
Look at the display, it will show or lit-up which player gets to plunge.
Ball Saved is added to some pinball tables. It makes sure, that the pinball player gets another chance if the ball went out too fast. However, the skill shoot might not be active anymore.
You can nudge the machine which is a part of playing a mechanical game such as pinball. But if you do it too much or too hard then TILT will appear and the ball including its added bonus will be lost. In rare occasions SLAM TILT is activated and the whole game resets and you might consider to cool down at the bar.
When the game is over you might see the machine displaying random number. One of you, has been given a number if that matches the number that the machine lands on – then you get another credit on that pinball table for free.
Pinball machines might try to flirt with you when “attraction sound” is turned on. It is simply just showing off.
Plunger:
Flipper: 1987
Popbumber: 7 (each with 4 rounds)
Maximum number of Players: 2
Number of Simultaneous Players: 1 (take turns)
If ball gets stuck: Gently nudge the machine. Hopefully it is possible to get the ball free without experiencing TILT.

GENERAL GUIDE TO ARCADE |
GENERAL GUIDE TO PINBALL |
We have been collection for many years by now. Most of the time we buy a defect game and turn it back to life. The games are from all over Denmark and from basements, bars, storagerooms, mancaves – you name it. If you got a machine or spare parts you would like to sell/donate, then please contact us.
Nope, we are not in the line of (re-)selling machines or parts. The reasons are many but we enjoy fixing machines and offer them to be played for credits instead of collecting.
There are many reasons why a machine is no longer on the floor. Most common reason is that it needs to be fixed. We also like to change the titles through out the year so when a new title is added sadly an old one has to be taken out.
Titles can always return to the floor.
At Bip Bip Bar; nothing is ever really gone. And if you want to play a game that you know we have in our collection, then tell us.
Polls/vote is also a membership feature.
We often get mails about how to fix privately owned machines. The best way to get an answer is to turn up and have a chat (especially Wednesdays). We do not service machines through emails, phone or the like. It is simply too time consuming and too much can be wrong with the game and also too much can go wrong if not being handled with correctly. Some repairs can be dangerous to do and we recommend that you find a professional and/or seek advice from: www.spille-maskiner.dk
We are always looking for extra hands. Do you know how to flash/rewrite an EPROM or fix the chassis connected to a CRT?
Then please get in touch with us!
That is one of the greatest questions of all time. But it is even better if we get to talk about how complicated and nuanced the answer really is – in person. So for now, thanks for answering and I will think about it until we meet and then some afterwards.
To some it starts with nostalgia. To others, it is something quite different. However, the experience of classic games seems to transcendence what ever time they are created and/or met in. That is, what makes them classics. The “retro” genre is often defined by requiring “hand-and-eye coordination”, “fast reflexes” and “pattern recognition” and to this you might add “memory”, “fast learning” skills and maybe even more. However, to us, the social side of playing the games plays a huge role in this too. How does it feel to play in front of others? To play with others? To play against others? To leave a score, for others to find? And another level to this, is the “easy approach” or “simplicity” the games offers at first glance. The old games are forever young. You can even learn the basics after you have had a few pints. The classics are playable and enjoyable to everyone at all time.
It is really different from person to person. The main thing we see is that guests want to experience the games and/or experience the unique atmosphere the games provide. It truely is a special vibe when you hear people having fun together while playing the games. We have guests of all ages and naturally some guests are younger than the games they try and at other times some guests have waited years to replay their favourite one. There is nothing required except wanting to have a good time.
This depends on the quality of the repair we did ourselves earlier and the age of the game. It also depends on which type of game it is (mechanical pinball, gun control, joystick etc.) and how popular it is. But let us go back to the mid 80s – back then, the games also had to be repaired and serviced from time to time. Let us skip on to the 90s when Street Fighter II hit the arcades. The machines still had to be looked at by a technician and maintained quite often. So we do what always have been done. We fix what is broken and restore with original parts as much as possible.
We recognize that Bip Bip Bar provides the games and a frame in which you can experience them in. Arcade & arcade culture has excited way before we did and we owe a huge thanks to developers, owners, players, fans, collectors & more.
Chassis Arcade is the former name. Although I, Chrisstoffer, had started collecting and somewhat tried to learn how to restore and fix arcades for some time, the first step to bring the games back to the public started late 2011 & first official opening party was in February 2012.
Other versions: Bip Bip Pop-up Bar @ Huset in Magstræde. Mönt Arcade, Albertslund as part of Forbrændingen.
Bip Bip Bar is not a political organization and will not be excluding guests from owning an option different from ours.
CULTURE:
Gaming culture can be personal, individual, social and community driven. Our expression is a reflection of the guests we meet and backed by our own love for playing.
PLANT BASED:
One of the owner is living life according to the typical plant based diet/lifestyle and everything at Bip Bip Bar is plant based. This is done as a bonus for the experience while not being something we feel a need to visually demonstrate when visiting us on location. It simply just is.
It is a challenge not to – so many great games and so littletime.
But sure! We welcome all guests and you are welcome to go for the bar instead of the games.
